HCCD screened a film entitled “Waraq Dawali” at Al-Aqsa Sports Club in Nuseirat City in the presence of a group of youth and community activists.
The meeting was opened by Yacob Al-Namla from the Center, welcoming the audience. He was briefed about the Center, its objectives, mission and the values it regulates.
The film was about “a grandmother of Syrian origin from Damascus, married to a Palestinian living in Jerusalem, and that the grandmother established her life in her Jerusalem home and continued to deal with the occupation like any Palestinian daily, where life is not comfortable nor is the very life that she wished to live.”
The meeting was facilitated by Hisham Rashid where the issue addressed by the film, was notably the harassment of the Israeli occupation towards the Palestinians.
Hadeel Haroun from the audience said that the name of the film is a variant of the Palestinians as a Palestinian meal since ancient times.
Ahmed Abu Shaweesh wondered how much Jerusalemites suffer in Jerusalem as well as internal and external influences on Jerusalem? .
This activity was carried out through the project “Yalla Neshoof Film”, a cultural and community partnership project implemented by the Women’s Cinema Foundation in partnership with the Association of University Graduates in Gaza and the Sunflower Foundation for Human and Environmental Protection, with the main support of the European Union and support from the Swiss CFD & the Global Women’s Fund.
