HCCD conducted a meeting in the presence of many community figures, faculty and students’ affairs in the conference hall at Gaza University.
The meeting started with a speech by the representative of the Center, Mohsen Abu Ramadan, who reviewed the life of late doctor, summarized his career in its national dimensions, democracy, tolerance, development and human rights, stressing the importance of inspiring this glorious march and reproducing its values and principles in society with its unitary and democratic dimensions.
President of the University Dr. Farid Al-Qiq talked about the virtues of the deceased, stressing that he was characterized by justice, praising his position on national unity and the arrangement of the internal state, in addition to attention to science, knowledge and culture, especially among the youth.
On the other hand, Dr. Atef Abu Saif, Minister of Culture, delivered a recorded speech, praising the great march of the late Dr. Haidar Abdul Shafi, stressing that the Ministry of Culture commemorates the centennial anniversary of the birth of prominent Palestinian national figures who left their mark in the community, including Dr. Haidar Abdul Shafi, who was distinguished by the concern for national unity and the support of the poor, the marginalized and the pursuit of democracy among the community, noting that this year the ministry also commemorates the centenary of the birth of the writer and historian Emile Toma. . Manar El-Sayed hosted the meeting.
